3 Ways to Live a Brave Life

[wpdevart_youtube]tO7MD1-hbj0[/wpdevart_youtube]

Most people never go after their dreams because they fear what other people think. People pleasing can keep you from living a brave life. You become a part of their ideology and begin to doubt yourself. These 3 ways will give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone and realize that you and only you can live your life.

1. Recognize that you have the power to create the life you desire. You only get one life. If you live it for everyone else, you've missed out on your opportunity. If you can dream it, you can achieve it and you do not need to ask for permission to be your own man or woman. Oftentimes children will live a life through their parent's eyes and not go towards a profession they desire. It's ok to live that brave life and disappoint a few people. Make certain you seek success so they will be proud.

2. Don't be afraid to go left when everyone else goes right. The status quo is set up to go right because we have been customized and taught that going left will get you in trouble or you risk standing out like a sore thumb. So what!! Be different and take the chance. This is your opportunity to prove everyone wrong or at least not live in the moment of "what if".

3.  Gain authority in your voice. Your voice has power, however, it may be drowned out by the company you associate with. They may include talking you out of what you hope to be or do. Don't be afraid to speak and disagree. You must listen to sound reason and never second guess yourself. Usually your first thought is that voice of reason. Be mindful, people are often fearful of where they have never been. The voice of others can deter you.

I am Nichelle Womack, your life transition, and business strategist. I aim to make you think through your thoughts, live without excuses and create a life filled with happiness, success, and financial reward. 5 "Must Do" Items When Starting a Business

Starting a business can be challenging in more than one way. The biggest struggles most complain about are of the availability of money, the use of time and how much or how little to network for business.  Most importantly, when starting your business, you need to specialize your priorities. By placing emphasis on these priorities, it will ensure the success of your home business. Listed below are 5 strategies you can implement immediately.

  1. Clarify the culture of your business.

This sets the tone of how you will do business in and out of the home. If you are consistent with passion and enthusiasm in what you do, you will more than likely create an environment that is exciting and comfortable to be a part of. With that culture set in place, you will be able to impress and attract clients with your enthusiasm and passion for the business that you are doing. Having an enthusiastic side will draw in the clients and give you a huge competitive edge over other more established companies.

2. Value your time and demand it from others as well

When people know you are self-employed, they seem to believe you have time for everything they don't have time for. You must make others value your time. Time is of the essence daily and you need to mandate that in what you do. Losing track of time is an easy trap to fall into when you are working from home. Never put off what you have to do today for tomorrow. Set a timeline of what you have to do and set a daily goal each day for you to do. It would be helpful if you set a time period each day to work in your home business. Establish a routine so that you and others in the home are accustomed to your working hours. Schedule start time, lunch, breaks and ending time just as if you were working for someone else.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask for sponsorship.

Starting a business can be costly. Especially if you are not prepared for unexpected cost. If you haven’t already saved money for your business venture, which is highly suggested, sponsorship is a great alternative. The good thing about working out of your home, you don’t have as many expenses as working from a brick and mortar establishment. Sponsorship can be done in various ways. Try crowdfunding, fundraising, small investors, local advertisement, family and friend contribution, etc. Sponsorship will come in handy when business is just starting out. It will enable you to get the supplies and other business necessities in advance without going too deep in debt starting off.

 4. Make networking a daily event.

Make it a priority to connect via social media, on the phone and in person. In the first year of your home business, it is important to develop new relationships and meet as many new people as you can. You can’t wait for a connection to happen by itself, you must be proactive. This may mean some aggressive movement of your own as well as getting out of the house to make it happen. It would not be out of order to start with a goal of connecting with at least 50 potential clients on a daily basis. Social media makes this easy. Also, sign up for meetups that are complementary to what you do.

5. Remain balanced in your life and business.

During the first year of business is when you set the tempo of your business. Don’t go into your new business working up to 18 hours a day, every single day. You need to give yourself a break or else you will quickly get burned out. Balance your business life with some family time or a hobby. Just remember, you determine how successful your home business is based on how much work, time and energy you put into it.

A Simple 6 Step Guide to Starting a Home-based Business

Are you sick and tired of building the life and lifestyle of someone else?

YOU CAN CONTROL AND OWN YOUR DESTINY

Many dream about owning their time, not punching a clock and creating a life of freedom by owning their own business. It's easier said than done because many won't make it past the wish list.  Yes.. the wish list! People wish but they never do.  Why???  Because society has brainwashed many into becoming wage slaves and many have become imprisoned in their own dreams that never become a reality.

Truth be told... You can own a business and work a job. However to have one without the other is giving one too much control over the other, especially in an uncertain economy. Many do it everyday and remain vigilant in building a legacy outside the J.O.B! In fact, I did it for years with no complaints. My job gave me the leadership skills, the extended training and the knowledge to begin to build the business of me.

What if the only things that stands between you and your dreams are the excuses that you have accepted as the truth? -Lewis Howes

STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!

So.... It's really not about the money, it's about the freedom that money gives you and the flexibility to do what you want to do. If you had more freedom to do the things you enjoy, money wouldn't ever be an issue. Below is a 6-step guide to assist you with the beginning of the journey.

Don't work 8 hours for a company then go home and not work on your own goals. You're not tired, you're uninspired!

  1. Assess what you know

You know what you are good at and what you are not so good at.  If you understand this, you are one step closer to starting a business than most. Being able to identify your strengths and your weaknesses is a skill that many do not possess. This can help you gauge if you are suitable for embark on a home business especially in your area of interest.  As a home business owner, you will need to run a lot of tasks on your own, from planning, business management to the field work. You must always be multi-tasking. Make sure you can carry out the tasks needed.

  1. Formulate business ideas

Start brainstorming! What are your interest and what are you passionate about?  What will you do for free IF you didn't need the money? We all can think of something that inspires us in life that we would love to do outside of the J.O.B. But the problem is, most need the money so thinking outside of a J.O.B. and what you really want to do almost becomes senseless.  Those inspirations that you daydream about can be made into a business idea.

  1. Test the need in the market

Make a shortlist of your ideas so that it contains only those ideas that can work for a home business. Be practical, yet think outside the box. Assess whether people will want to spend money on the kind of products or services that you intend to offer, how much and whether this will generate sufficient income proportional to your never ending or sometimes simple effort.  If no, get back to Step 2 for more ideas. You must always be in the planning and building process. Being persistent is important at this stage because many people give up after climbing the first obstacle.

  1. Understand the legal barriers to entry

There are many.. depending on what you want to do and where. Check if there are any rules or regulations controlling the starting up of a home business in your state or country and more importantly, your municipality.  This can be a hurdle and a turn off at the same time. If you don't follow the law, not only will you pay, you may be turned off from the process from the start. If their are barriers, figure out how you want to get around them and make your business happen. Don't allow these specifics hinder your dream, your progress and your success.

  1. Determine the amount of capital you need

Money, money, money... It's a real conversation and topic that stops many in their tracks when talking about starting a business. If someone tells you it's free to start a business, you better run. It's simply not true and so very close to a lie! First, you must calculate the amount of money you need to start up your home business. The cost should include the purchase of any equipment, the hiring of any professionals (e.g. lawyers), insurance, marketing materials, licenses and so forth. You might not be familiar with all these so take your time to do some price checking and bargain hunting to make certain you are getting the best match for your business and money.

  1. Execute and plan

This is the most important step! Once you have obtained a clear picture from Step 1 – 5, it is time to lay down your business plan. Find out your break-even point and how many products you need to sell in order to earn your investment.

None of this advice will work or even matter  if you don't incorporate the most important element called "ACTION." You can complain about the game or get in the game and start making a profit while building a legacy.  You can't leave your J.O.B to your heirs,  kids or your family, but you can leave a business and continue to create generational wealth as a part of your legacy.

Take ACTION today to start a new life and own it! As an MBA graduate and PhD soon to be graduate and over 20 years in business for myself, I often have people coming to me for advice about how to start a business, how to restart a business, how to market a business and how to grow a business. I've created a course based upon the hundreds of thousands of dollars I've invested in education, trial and error and everything in between. 5 Reasons Why People Fear Writing Their Own Paycheck

It has been said that everyone is not meant to be an entrepreneur. I beg to differ. Most people are entrepreneurs except they enjoy working and building the businesses of others instead of themselves. Therefore, they would be classified as intrapreneurs. There is nothing wrong with that if that is what you enjoy. Taking the plunge to self-reliance can be a hurdle, discouraging and down right depressing. However, the gratifying aspect of entrepreneurship outweighs all of that. There is no other profession that allows you flexibility, the ability to control your income and the desire to change the world and have your name stamped as the custom gold seal. Listed below are 5 reasons why most people are afraid to depend on themselves for financial survival and valued appreciation. Only the strong can conquer this narrow path.

  1. Fear of the unknown- This is the greatest barrier to the success of many. It dominates, manipulates and transpires the strong into dependent, weak individuals. When you are accustomed to receiving a salary, it’s difficult to transition to possibly not receiving one. The ups and downs can be unbearable if you are not prepared in advance. You can work your job while you build your dream. Learn everything you can on your job so that you know what to and not do in order to make your business thrive.
  2. No support from others- When others don’t support your viewpoint or your choice to leave a job and become an entrepreneur, it can be lonely. One may feel as though they are isolated from the “normal” way of doing things. When in actuality you are. Sometimes you are seeking someone to answer to and there is no one there but you. This may allow you to become distracted by the thoughts and opinions of others and often give up without giving your choice of life a chance.
  3. Not enough experience- Some of the richest business owners are college dropouts. Educational level is not indicative of success. However, there is a distinct characteristic that these individuals share. All were driven from one aspect or another. Their desire was greater than their fear and their belief in themselves carried them to success. So, don't allow your lack of not knowing be your excuse. There are many tools and resources to help you learn how to do what you want to do. In essence, don't recreate the wheel, just make it unique and your own.
  4. Time involved- Starting a business is typically not an overnight success. Even though the idea can be conceptualized during that time, developing it into a successful enterprise requires a significant amount of exclusion. You must remove yourself from all that is temporary in order to create your permanent way of life. The desire to start is always present, but to actually put the dream into action can be mind boggling, not to mention time consuming and possibly costly without the right information.
  5. Lack of direction- Starting without a defined plan confuses the beginning, the middle and the end. A business plan is essential for any business venture, small or large. Most people don’t know where to begin when seeking to start a business. Therefore, they give up before it is put on paper. It remains an imagination. Some often open up shop without research and baptize their business to be doomed from the beginning. You can't travel blind, nor can you succeed without seeing the light. Jot down ideas, look at what others have done and find out how to make it happen.

There are tons of businesses one can start. Some with little investment. Whatever business you decide on, you must be committed and determined to see it succeed. Entrepreneurship is like none other. There is a sense of pride that one has which causes you to stick your chest out with a sincere accomplishment that you made it happen. There's nothing like giving yourself a raise, a vacation or even retirement when you are in control of your destiny and not relying on an employer to do it. Those who attempt to seek the bright side of life often enjoy it so much that the thought of being under the leadership of someone else becomes frightening. These fears can become strengths with self-confidence, self-reliance, guidance, a plan and a whole bunch of faith. Be determined to achieve your goals and stay focused on what you want to accomplish. If you want it, you can have it with effort and action. By the size of a mustard seed, what you want is within reach.

5 Tips to Remain Focused Everyday

Stay Focused0 Seeking strength in a greater source allows you to live life with purpose. Stay away from dream thieves and naysayers. Open your mind to what could be and what is. Everything you need to be happy is inside of you. Listed below are five tips to steer you in your lane of success. Remain focused, dream it, believe it and aim to achieve it.

1. Wake up every day with a true purpose. What do you plan to do today? What do you need to accomplish it? How close will you be towards achieving your goals? Having direction in your life gives you stability. There is no time to sit around and wait for something to happen. You take the first step and make it happen.

2. Love yourself first. If you don’t love you, how do you expect others to give you the respect you deserve? You should set the example as to how you want people to treat you. Expect the best and forget the rest. If you expect less, you will get less. Give yourself a hug. Try it! It makes you feel so much better and it gives you instant love.

3. Speak what you want into existence. The tongue has been called the greatest weapon. It can commit a blessing or a curse. It literally has the ability to destroy others you speak to and those who speak to you. Be contentious of what you say. If you believe it, make it happen by saying it. The more you say it, you begin to feel it and the universe has a way of bringing it to reality. Only allow positive language to enter your ears.

4. Develop a “I can and will attitude.” Work hard every day to make your dreams a reality. You are the captain of your ship. If it sinks, it’s because you allowed it to happen. Don’t let anyone steer you in the wrong direction. Take control and lead it all the way.

5. Seek and work with a mentor. Mentors are good for so many reasons. Everyone needs someone in their life who is dependable, honest and supportive even during mistakes. This person should know your goals and attempt to help you achieve them. Make certain this person is willing to be there every step of the way, good and bad.

"Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds."

-Orison Swett Marden

I've learned to have a great day regardless of what and who I encounter. The world is filled with critics/haters who find wrong in everything you do. In fact, their goal in life is to make certain you fail and never recover. People are so quick to point out your faults while they ignore theirs. Ignore ignorance and stay focused on what makes you happy. You are entitled to live your life the way you please. Be encouraged!! Many blessings and much success!!

5 Checkpoints of Change in your Career

Don’t FEAR change!! No matter how you feel about it, change is an inevitable part of our lives. It can be controllable, but for most, they are at the mercy of change. Learning how to accept it, embrace it and roll with the bumps and bruises of it makes you not only resilient, but capable of bouncing back sooner. Creating goals is something that should remain a constant in your life, whether you use them to plan your career, start a project or start a new life. Goal setting helps us see more clearly where we need to go and what we need to do to make that happen. Follow these 5 tips to help you gain perspective in your career and be an agent of change. 1. Seriously evaluate your reasons for wanting to change careers or get promoted in your current position. Ask yourself honestly if you want to change because you don’t like your job, because you don’t like your employer, or because you have an interest in gaining new skills and abilities and expanding your horizons. The last reason is the best reason to make a change. 2. Gain any additional training or education you need to realize a smooth transition into a new position or employment opportunity. If you don’t know what the educational requirements are for a new opportunity, then find out. Visit the BLS http://www.bls.gov to find out what the job requirements, educational requirements and salary are for the job or career field you intend to enter.

3. If changing careers, know that you may have to start from the ground up. This may mean a salary cut. If you know you will have to take a reduction in salary, then make up for it by finding a way to budget your expenses until your salary catches up with you. You should also evaluate whether you can afford changes to your salary. Hopefully, a career transition will eventually (or immediately in many cases) result in an increase, rather than decrease in salary. 4. If you plan to leave your current employer, always be sure to give them advance notice so they have time to find a replacement if necessary. This is especially true of highly technical jobs, where it can be hard to find someone on short notice and train them well enough to do the job right. You never want to burn bridges because you never know what may come out of change. 5. If you are confident that you want to change careers but aren’t sure of what you want to do, consider going into business for yourself. Evaluate your skills, abilities and talents. Look at your financial situation and assess your management and organizational skills. Many people have hopes of one day creating their own business. Now may be the time to do this. Just be sure you prepare for a big change like this by researching the home business process before you leap right in and quit your job. Many people who decide to start their own business end up keeping their jobs and working on their business part time during their off hours. This is a good way to give you time to wet your feet and get a feel for whether a home business is something you really want to start. This will also allow you time to evaluate whether you can really make enough money from it to support your family if need be.

No matter what decisions you make, when career planning for change it is important you always take your time to evaluate and analyze your decisions from numerous levels and perspectives. Always keep in mind that the grass may not be greener on the other side. Yet you will never know if it is or not if you don’t at least take a closer look. Never make decisions in the heat of the moment and always be sure to research your alternatives and new occupations before you leap right in. If you consider all options and clearly observe your goals and objectives, you will realize and reap much success in your career planning journey.

The 6 Passages of Righteousness in Business

Righteousness Business is tough and in order to remain on top, you have to be a student of the game and a believer in your efforts. What you do and how you react is conclusive of your success and the results. Take a bite out of these tips and see if it makes a difference in your life.

1. Keep a close ear. Don’t be nosey, but listen to those customers who are unhappy with their current provider of service. Offer suggestions to resolve and be a resource. If it doesn’t work out, guess who they will call. 2. Be the expert in your field. Customers like to work with someone who has an edge over what they are facing. By providing your expertise, you will be the go to person when an issue arises and hopefully solve the problem. 3. Return all calls or designate someone to do it. You never know who’s on the other side of that line. This could result in missed business opportunities. Be proactive just as you would want someone to do for you. 4. Continue to educate yourself and your associates about what you do. Attend webinars, take a class, read a journal or book. Seek experts in your field that you admire and reach out. 5. Ask for preceptorships with your customers to learn more about what they do. How can you help the business if you don’t know much about their operations? One on one customer service goes a long way. Not only will you build rapport, but you will possibly spot other areas where you can be of assistance. 6. Treat others how you want to be treated. In business, we often grasp the holier than though attitude if everything is going smooth. Rocky roads are inevitable. Utilize your contacts and resources wisely. Be nice to everyone and expect the same in return.

The Top Ten Legal American Scams

Scam Pic
"The American Dream never really existed. It was a marketing scam."
-James Altucher
Have you ever thought about life from this perspective? Everyone is out to get something regardless of how they get it. The system is set up to profit by every means. If you are not keeping up with it, you can soon find yourself in great need and maybe even depending on it for survival. Even though you may agree or disagree, the reality of the situation is, everything is about business and the bottom line is to make money. Sometimes at the expense of you!

1. Insurance – They bank on you not dying, getting in a car accident or getting sick. Because if you do, they have to pay out. This business would prefer that nothing happens to their bottom line. That would mean more money in their pocket, better facilities and high rise buildings with marble floors all paid from your premiums. However, you must keep paying or else you would be at greater risk if something were to happen. The insurance business is a billion dollar industry that will continue to grow. By 2017, we will be paying over $100 billion annually to private insurance companies to secure our interest. 2. Bank Fees - You pay someone else to manage your money and they earn an interest. The banks charge you a fee when you can’t meet your day to day expenses with overdraft fees. You are also charged monthly just to bank with them. They can make as many financial errors as they want and they will be backed by the system that controls the whole scam. All they have to do is ask for a bailout or file chapter 11 and they are back in business ready to start all over again or perhaps where they left off. Whereas the average citizen, you and I, are doomed!! We can’t get a bailout when we make a big financial mistake. Yeah, you can file bankruptcy, however, you will be tarnished for years per the standards of society. A 2007 study by the Center for Responsible Lending said consumers are paying fees of $17.5 billion annually -- on automatic overdraft loans of $15.8 billion per year. 3. Mortgages – In essence, you don’t actually own the home until you have the title in your hand and your debt is free and clear. I never understood the term homeowner. It should read, “borrowing to own a home.” The bank is the lien holder and the owner until they are paid in full. The advantage of being a “person borrowing to own a home” is that you get to write off the taxes and the interest you paid throughout the year to live in or rent it out. However, the mortgage lien holders get to do the exact same thing. They also receive bailouts too when your finances are not in order. If you have to foreclose, you get nothing in return except a negative credit rating. The lien holder gets to write it off as a loss (bad debt.) So in the end, the mortgage lien holder still comes out on top, they are still in business and they have secured your home. 4. Renting a place to live – You are just paying someone else to live a good life and build their equity. While you are paying for their lifestyle, you are losing money as if you were throwing it out the window. The “person borrowing to own a home” who you pay your rent to, receives every possible advantage to even make a profit on your hard earned dollar. You probably end up paying the IRS or getting little back at the end of the year because of this. 5. Healthcare – The system is designed to keep you sick. Instead of sharing with you remedies and tools to help you get better, some physicians heavily medicate and keep you comatose from reality. In the meantime, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and physicians are profiting off of your lack of awareness. Check out other countries and how they operate their healthcare system. Very few, if anyone is in medical debt. Our systems thrives on making a dollar, keeping corporation’s rich and impoverishing the working class. As of 2012, 75 million people reported problems paying their medical bills or were paying off medical debt, up from 73 million in 2010 and 58 million in 2005. An estimated 48 million people were paying off medical debt in 2012, up from 44 million in 2010 and 37 million in 2006 (Source: Press Release, The Commonwealth Fund.) 6. Government – If you look at what it was designed for,” to protect and serve the people”, it has totally strayed away from this principle. Instead, we live in a society that it deprives, uses and abuse power and facilitate in acts that cost the country millions. • People are geared towards a system that keeps them economically challenged with no desire to get better (food stamps). Now I agree that there is a need, especially when times get hard and there is nowhere to turn. Yet to not offer a recipient a decent salary to feed and take care of a family, it gives them nowhere else to turn. America has one • People get in political office and instead of making the situation better, they rob the people who voted them in office with greed and mistrust. Who can you trust that really has your best interest at heart? • Wars, wars and more wars… We have a war right here in our own country. There are so many homeless vets and others who could use that money right here in America. How come we can’t use some of the millions that we spend everywhere else to give people in our own back yard a better way of life? 7. Education – Only in America can one go to school and get a degree, be in debt, never make enough to pay their loans off and die with them not being paid. Look at other countries. They go to school for free and graduate with little to no educational debt. They live free of being hounded to pay back money to not only make themselves better, but the community they live in better as well. 8. Utilities – Even though it’s a privilege and a blessing to have due to the fact that third world countries don’t have them, is it necessary to profit while customers inherit significant rate increases? I mean I understand it’s a business, but it’s a needed commodity that you know one almost has to have. You have people who barely get by and it’s hard for them to maintain, yet the CEO of the company has profited while you scrap to pay your bill. 9. The Prison System – So many people do wrong and they deserve to pay the time. However, this system predicates off people doing unjustly. The owners of this enterprise profit heavily and keep people tied to a system that offers them a return visit. Free housing, healthcare, food and sometimes work. Yes work.. They do that in prison and get paid cents on the dollar. Work is done for corporate enterprises so that they don’t have to hire anyone to do it and pay them a salary. Not all jobs go overseas. Some are in your back yard and you will never know it unless you are the one running the company. Why not offer rehabilitation and career opportunities so that this cycle does not become a career? Well.. that’s cutting into their profits. So why ask why? After all, it’s a business, right? 10. Corporate America – You work for years in some companies and made them enough profits for the shareholders and stockholders to retire and live a comfortable life. You have given them the most significant aspect of your life and yet you retire with a pen, a certificate and possibly a ring. Where did that time go? Thirty years and you have nothing to show for it. In the meantime, the stockholders and CEO’s have made enough money off of your sweat, long hours and tears to retire and possibly never work again, not to mention the luxury you’ve provided their family.

One can go on and on about how everyday American citizens are taken advantage of by the system and think nothing of it. It’s something we are taught to do, understand and just go with the flow. All eyes need to be placed on what we can do to make this country better while being profitable. It shouldn’t be at the expense of the citizens who work hard every day to be screwed in the long run.

Testimony Tuesday...

struggle Today.... I'm in the mode of delete and redirect!! Sometimes in life, one must focus in on what counts no matter how much it costs. This is my message to my new coaching clients that entrust me with their challenge. As I minister to you, I minister to myself.

Everything that's not prospering me, holding me back, causing concern, frustration, stirring up trouble and creating delay will be deleted. I don't mean no harm. I just love me too much to give up my happiness and what God intends for my good. It may be difficult for you to understand and don't take it personal. The bridge that I'm crossing is not sturdy enough to carry a load.
