Are You Hitting the Goal?

A goal achieved is a goal earned.

Goals are often hard to keep and reach if you are not focused on the "how" and the "why" of your purpose of achieving the goal.  Those two components give you perspective and direction to meet your objectives.

If you find it difficult to set goals and reach them, it may be wise to seek the counsel of someone who can help keep you be and stay accountable, i.e., a mentor or a coach.

Success is a hounding teammate of achieved goals. If you need clarity, refer to this chart here for focus.

If you still find yourself lacking direction, contact me for a FREE one on one consultation here.

Getting to your next level requires you to be ready and stay ready without excuses.

The Paycheck Scenario

On this day, many are blessed to receive a check and many are not due to circumstance. A check has become the staple in the household. With a check, one can not only enjoy the varried necessities, but the estravagant wants we all crave as well.

A check has many limitations just as it has opportunities.

It's important to understand that if that check is not available due to job layoff, firing, company closing, job transfer, personal disability, illness or any other devestating life altercation, you and your family can be left at the hands and mercy of need. This can be catastrophic on so many levels.

The reality is there are a lot of people who are one paycheck away from being homeless and hungry.

What would you do if you allowed yourself to be put in that situation? Yes... I said allowed. When you put all your eggs in one basket without being open to other options to keep yourself out of that situation, you allowed it to happen.

Most get comfortable in their current situation and don't think about the possibility of having to be uncomfortable if something happens.

Do you currently have a savings, retirement and emergency plan that you feel comfortable with if you were put in an uncomfortable situation?

The truth of the matter is many Americans state they are worse off than they were in previous years. According to a consumer sentiment survey, 40% state that they are living paycheck to paycheck. 39% state they fear losing their jobs. These are some startling numbers that seem to be the same if not worse.

So now that you are aware of these facts, does that change your perception of how important a check is to you and your family? If it does or if it doesn't, the point was to enlighten you.

Unfortunately, many wait until a situation happens before they react. Then they are often pressured with stress, frustration and possible health issues.

I personally am working on being more proactive versus reactive. This response has afforded me the opportunity to have choice.

If you are interested in speaking further about the many options to diversify your options and income, connect with me and lets collaborate. I love sharing information and great ideas.

Well that's all for now. I hope you found this information enlightening and worthy of thinking about.

Toodles... and happy weekend! Do something worth remembering.

Is a Business Coach Right for me?

Most business owners have begun the year with focus and direction as it relates to earning a profit, building the brand and seeking new clients to add to their portfolio. It is not uncommon to seek assistance along the way. In fact, most successful business owners seek guidance throughout the year as it relates to their business. Consulting is a necessary component that allows a business owner to understand what they may not see through the eyes of another. In order for a business to remain competitive, it must always be on the cutting edge of change. Listed below are four areas of how a coach can help you grow and expand your business.

1. Business Growth - If you are not growing, you are staggering alone in business which can eventually begin to eat at your profits, your time and your patience. Hiring a coach can give you perspective on what's working and what is not.

2. Expansion of your network - The more people you know who can add value to your network, the more access you will have to what's going on in your industry. Business is purely a social activity that constantly requires you to be in front of others via in person, online or through word of mouth. A coach can assist you with becoming more visible in the community as well as providing new partnerships with others.

3. Mentoring experience - Since business is constantly changing, it's important to be aware of how your business can not only be impactful but offer alternatives while the market is changing. A coach can give you advice as well as new ideas based on what they are seeing working.

4. A Confidant - When you need someone to talk to and you are highly frustrated by everything, a coach can be that extra ear, that pounding board, a sounding board as well as the friend in the trenches. Every successful leader should have someone they can rely on in a time of need. A coach can be that and more.

Overall, in order to run an effective, thriving business, it's essential to have a team to help you accomplish your goals. The more people you have for you, the more you can concentrate on building and developing your business.

I am Nichelle Womack. As a people building, life transition and business strategist, I specialize in helping you reach your greatest potential by providing information, inspiration, and motivation. The "Godly" Entrepreneur

let-your-light-shine.jpg

The business world can be a very intimidating place for a Christian entrepreneur who is just getting started. Business is very competitive and everyone is seeking to be seen and heard. Making money is the core of all businesses succeeding and believe it or not, some people would do anything for money. As a Christian entrepreneur who seeks to do the right thing, this can be frightening. Most think that money will somehow corrupt their morals and interfere with their Christian living. A verse most Christian entrepreneurs are very aware of is "Money is the root of all evil." (I Tim. 6:10).

However, many Christians fail to realize that this verse holds much more meaning that it states and it changes its meaning. When you read the whole verse, you can see that it says "For the love of money is the root of all evil."

The facts: money per se cannot be the source of all evil because it is an inanimate object. A lot of good has been produced by money, and if money is so bad, then how come we always give tithes and offerings? Money is a tool! It should be used to empower and better the lives of those who use it as well as others who are in need.

The love of money is the root of all evil. This will not be denied or argued. Love can sometimes turn to greed. When greed from money becomes love, the whole focus is changed. Greed should never rule a business person’s life, especially a Christian entrepreneur. We all need money to survive and it is an important resource.

However, you should not learn to "love" it and it should not dictate your life. Money should never compromise your character or your integrity in doing business. It certainly should not be favored over doing what’s right. Greed is dangerous and can be very costly in the end. Not just to Christian entrepreneurs, but to other types of business people as well.

Greed has a way of causing you to undermine your ethical behavior which could keep you from succeeding in the long run. No one wants to do business with someone who is known for getting over. A business should be built on characteristics of protecting its consumer. In fact, it is expected that Christian entrepreneurs build their companies based on Christ-like principles.

There are many opportunities for Christian entrepreneurs to grasp and succeed. In fact, there are a lot of Christian consumers and other business owners who are seeking to do business with you.

What will it take for you to get started on your path as a Christian entrepreneur? Well, you might want to start with yourself and ask what you are seeking when you spend your money with a business? What’s important to you as a consumer? What products would Christians be willing to buy? What services can you render to Christians? What business can you offer that would not compromise your Christian principles and get in the way of your Christian living?

To start any successful business, you are going to need some help. Thankfully, there’s a lot of information and support groups to help new entrepreneurs during the start-up phase. It is recommended that you do a lot of reading and perhaps consult with others who were once where you are. The information they provide will prove to be invaluable and could save you a lot of time and money.

It is important that you understand the basics of business and entrepreneurship as well as the legal complexities in your state. Get in contact with the Christian community and scout out your potential market or more specifically, target your consumer based on what hope to accomplish. We all know how valuable information can be and the more you connect with people, the more resources you will encounter.

If you are seeking to start a business in 2017 and need to sort out your desires, connect with me for one on one counseling. I will assist you in preparing a path to accomplish your goals one step at a time.

5 Obstacles That May Be Blocking Your Success

family-619570_1280.jpg

Most obstacles that confront us deal with fear, confusion, lack of knowledge, not enough money or negative self-talk. No matter what you do, obstacles will find you and attempt to block your success. It's important to understand that you have more authority over the situation than you think. Your thought process and how you react to the situation will enable you to be proactive versus reactive and achieve your goals in spite of. These 5 steps will serve as a reminder that when obstacles appear because they will, not only will you be prepared, you will persevere. 1. Rejection - this is a situation most of us have faced. It tends to hurt and make us feel incompetent in what it is we are trying to pursue. However, if you view rejection as a possibility of opportunity and a learning experience for growth, you will be less reluctant to allow rejection to hold you back.

2. Inadequacy - the feeling of not being as good as others can be a severe obstacle in achieving success. Understand that we all have different gifts and skills that make us unique and one of a kind. There is no need to compare yourself to others. Do what you know how to do and be willing to learn more. Strategically separate yourself from others and learn to competent in what you bring to the table.

chain-1027864_1920

3. Assumption - We assume that things are the same and typically we already have it figured out how it will end. Therefore you change nothing but expect different results. This is the definition of insanity with a super sense of hyper exaggeration. Be willing to get help and seek a new perspective.

pin-board-978197_1280

4. Perfection - Many struggle with it everyday and it is a true reality. In fact, it is the life support of many failed dreams. As long as you seek things to be perfect, you will never get anything accomplished. Instead of perfection, strive for progress and determination. You will find that your results become focused and your ability to complete a task becomes real.

board-786119_1920

5. Security - Most people rely on the security of one thing or another in order to get them through. Security is something that is not assured. Therefore, instead of growing dependent, become independent in yourself and your skills. Nothing is guaranteed but life and death. Find strategies and solutions that will allow you to not only survive but thrive when things seem bleak.

10 Quotes to Motivate You During Challenging Times

stress-pic.jpg
Challenges are like climbing a hill and never reaching the top. As a young child growing up, when I was feeling down my grandmother would always say “catch yourself.” Her meaning behind that quote was to never let yourself go so far that you aren't able to rebound. When you are going through difficult times, no matter what anyone says, it’s hard to feel confident in yourself. Sustaining your thoughts and emotions with positive, encouraging words helps you to realize that you are not along in your struggle. Knowing other’s have walked the same path of uncertainty gives affirmation that trouble does not last always. Listed below are 10 quotes that have inspired many, even myself. Stay encouraged! Don't leave the game until you have won.

1. “Champions are not made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them, a desire, a dream and a vision.” Muhammad Ali

2. “Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven’t half the strength you think they have.” Norman Vincent Peale

3. “Take heed: you do not find what you do not seek.” English Proverb

4. “Our lives improve only when we take chances and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves.” Walter Anderson

5. “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers, you cannot be successful or happy.” Norman Vincent Peale.

6. “It’s the sides of the mountain that sustain life, not the top.” Robert M. Pirsig

7. “Failure is just a rehearsal. Success is the main event.” Author Unknown

8. Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” Harriet Beecher Stowe

9. “It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” Theodore Roosevelt

10. “Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.” Napolean Hill

I hope these quotes give you encouragement to know that anything is possible if you believe. When you are having one of those days, choose an affirmation that motivates you to keep going and surround yourself with positive people who want to see you do well.

3 Ways to Live a Brave Life

[wpdevart_youtube]tO7MD1-hbj0[/wpdevart_youtube]

Most people never go after their dreams because they fear what other people think. People pleasing can keep you from living a brave life. You become a part of their ideology and begin to doubt yourself. These 3 ways will give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone and realize that you and only you can live your life.

1. Recognize that you have the power to create the life you desire. You only get one life. If you live it for everyone else, you've missed out on your opportunity. If you can dream it, you can achieve it and you do not need to ask for permission to be your own man or woman. Oftentimes children will live a life through their parent's eyes and not go towards a profession they desire. It's ok to live that brave life and disappoint a few people. Make certain you seek success so they will be proud.

2. Don't be afraid to go left when everyone else goes right. The status quo is set up to go right because we have been customized and taught that going left will get you in trouble or you risk standing out like a sore thumb. So what!! Be different and take the chance. This is your opportunity to prove everyone wrong or at least not live in the moment of "what if".

3.  Gain authority in your voice. Your voice has power, however, it may be drowned out by the company you associate with. They may include talking you out of what you hope to be or do. Don't be afraid to speak and disagree. You must listen to sound reason and never second guess yourself. Usually your first thought is that voice of reason. Be mindful, people are often fearful of where they have never been. The voice of others can deter you.

I am Nichelle Womack, your life transition, and business strategist. I aim to make you think through your thoughts, live without excuses and create a life filled with happiness, success, and financial reward. When Your Passion is Your Determination

Before I realized what I enjoyed, I was just a part of a system. My fear of stepping off the cliff into deeper territory always came with rejection, self-doubt and confusion. There is also a risk of uncertainty. Nevertheless, I decided that if I wanted to live in my purpose, that risk was worth taking. What am I here for and what will it take for me gain clarity? Those who have never risked anything have never done anything. In my journey, I have realized that the real risk is doing nothing. In taking that risk, I've learned the following things.

1. You have no problem working overtime.  When you enjoy what you do, time is not an issue nor a worry. You take pride in what you do and you work until the task is completed. No exceptions!

2. You are constantly seeking ways to make it better. Unfortunately, when you are passionate about something, you may run into perfection. This perfection can hold you back from many things. I have found when I don't commit to perfection, not only do I get more done, but I accomplish more towards my goals.

3. You get up early and go to bed late. Again, time is of the essence for you to accomplish your goals. Therefore, neglecting of oneself may take place. It's important to keep your health in check because if your heatlh isn't right, your passion may never get accomplished. Sleep is essential to success. Yet, those who live in their passion find early mornings and late nights a normal way of life and their body and life adjust to it..

4. You don't mind being corrected or misunderstood. When you are passionate about something, it will take over your life. Therefore, it's important to find balance in what you do. If given advice, it must be looked at objectively and subjectively. Is it best for you or will it deter your plans towards your goal? People always misunderstand what they are not familiar with. You personally must be clear on what it is you are attempting to achieve and why.

5. You are willing to let everything that attempts to hold you back go. You are focused on your goals and accomplishments. Everything that is going on around you isn't important unless it involves you working in your passion. Hanging out use to be your lifestyle. Now you see a greater vision that can't be separated by nonsense. A lack of focus no longer exist. If it doesn't improve you mentally, doesn't uplift you spiritually or help you make more money, you literally find no need to be involved.

The evolution of change and divine order always has a purpose in our life. Whether we pay attention to the instructions or not, somehow it will haunt us unconditionally until we take notice. When you are determined to achieve and your passion gives you energy, stay focused and press on.

I am Nichelle Womack, your life transition, and business strategist. I aim to make you think through your thoughts, live without excuses and create a life filled with happiness, success, and financial reward. A Non-Negotiable Freedom

Everyone is not for you and you are not for everybody. At some point in your life you grow up, grow apart and you become your own person. Yet, those who care stay around and those who don't really didn't care at all.

The cool thing about being free is we all have choices and we make them every day. You can choose to stay with people for comfort or you can choose to go where you can grow. Freedom takes you out of your comfort zone and shows you a different world that only you can imagine. Freedom also comes with a cost. You will be judged, talked about, hated, misunderstood and predicted for doom.

Slash Cable or Satellite Bill in Half

turvi-tv-pic

But in the end, the only thing that matters is you were free to do you and be you and that is the most valuable form of freedom there is. As Harriett Tubman once said, "I would have freed thousands more if only they knew they were slaves." Don't be enslaved into the ideas of others because they can't accept the Freedom you live. #RealTalkDialogue

4 Types of Email Strategies to Help Build Your List

email pic Billions and billions of emails are sent on a daily basis from business to personal to uninvited. An email address is a virtual way of communicating with someone you are attempting to influence in some capacity.  Most emails are never opened, some are ignored purposely and others go to spam. Those that are opened are done so with curiosity or a need of receiving something quickly versus traveling through snail mail. Bottom line, when someone gives you their email address, respect it as if it were their personal home address.

Email Marketing is a surefire way to build a following, deliver information and make some revenue. Yet, running an online email marketing campaign takes strategy and an ability to follow compliance. You must be strategic in a topic as well as in a purpose.  If you are already using an email format that you send out monthly or every couple of weeks, you probably have had some bounce back as well as some unsubscribe. The trouble is far too many of us stop right there and don’t analyze our marketing efforts and that’s a big mistake!

So what’s the key to success with email marketing? You can connect with your subscribers and provide value. Let’s look at 4 types of email formats that will help you develop a campaign that yields results.

Start a Business in 6 Easy Steps

#1 Educational Emails

Education is fundamental and emails that deliver this content can be successful. These emails are very popular with recipients because they help to solve some type of problem, need or answer a question. Typical occasions to send educational emails are when you have new content, a popular blog post that has been skyrocketing, or any other educational information that sweetens your subscriber desire. This becomes even easier if you took the time to group your subscribers into categories by what they find important. In doing this, you can send the right content to the right people and get open rate you aim to achieve.

#2 Informational Emails

This type of email can be good or bad. Depending on what information is being relayed. In a world where we are overwhelmed with tons of information, make certain that what you are delivering it worthy to be read. Informational emails are not very long and generally, they do not require any action by the subscriber. They are simply there to convey a message and provide information to the recipient. Examples of informational emails include advising of an upcoming event, a ‘happy birthday’ messages, product info, course ending reminders, or webinar reminders.

#3 Promotional Emails

Ninety-nine percent of email users receive one of, if not many, of these type of emails on a daily basis. They can be annoying, cumbersome and down-right a burden to your inbox. This type of email, if not done right, can find you with a subscriber that will unsubscribe or simply trashing your message. Too many promotional emails and you will piss off your recipient. The only time you should use this is if you have a new product or service that is worthy of sharing (make certain it’s a game changer), a special deal going on, or a special event coming up. You should not use this more than a couple of times a month.

Please… I wish retailers knew this.

SLASH YOUR CABLE & SATELLITE BILL IN HALF

#4 Lead Nurturing Emails

This type of email is one of the least used or when it is used it is often used wrongly. You must not appear or become spammy. Not only is it a violation of an ethical way to do business, it can be annoying and quickly cause you to lose the list you worked hard to gain. It takes a lot of time and effort to take a lead and move them through the entire sales cycle. By using lead nurturing emails, you able to help that process occur faster and you don’t need to invest a lot of time. You can set up various nurturing campaigns with 7 or 8 nurturing emails in each and then you can simply schedule them to execute over a period of time. Both 60 and 90 days are popular depending on what your product or service is. These should be short messages that are packed with content rich information and that try to get the lead to respond to your call to action that will lead them to your website.

Email marketing must be used as a methodical way of building and engaging a community. Hearing from you should be a treat, not a chore. Don’t overburden or underestimate the power you have with a click of a button. Make certain you drive the right traffic towards building your brand and developing a fan base that don’t mind sharing the value you deliver. What types of emails do you use in your email marketing campaigns? Now you have some new ideas so why not give them it a try.

5 "Must Do" Items When Starting a Business

Starting a business can be challenging in more than one way. The biggest struggles most complain about are of the availability of money, the use of time and how much or how little to network for business.  Most importantly, when starting your business, you need to specialize your priorities. By placing emphasis on these priorities, it will ensure the success of your home business. Listed below are 5 strategies you can implement immediately.

Need a Landing Page that Converts? Check this out!Need a Landing Page that Converts? Check this out!

  1. Clarify the culture of your business.

This sets the tone of how you will do business in and out of the home. If you are consistent with passion and enthusiasm in what you do, you will more than likely create an environment that is exciting and comfortable to be a part of. With that culture set in place, you will be able to impress and attract clients with your enthusiasm and passion for the business that you are doing. Having an enthusiastic side will draw in the clients and give you a huge competitive edge over other more established companies.

2. Value your time and demand it from others as well

When people know you are self-employed, they seem to believe you have time for everything they don't have time for. You must make others value your time. Time is of the essence daily and you need to mandate that in what you do. Losing track of time is an easy trap to fall into when you are working from home. Never put off what you have to do today for tomorrow. Set a timeline of what you have to do and set a daily goal each day for you to do. It would be helpful if you set a time period each day to work in your home business. Establish a routine so that you and others in the home are accustomed to your working hours. Schedule start time, lunch, breaks and ending time just as if you were working for someone else.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask for sponsorship.

Starting a business can be costly. Especially if you are not prepared for unexpected cost. If you haven’t already saved money for your business venture, which is highly suggested, sponsorship is a great alternative. The good thing about working out of your home, you don’t have as many expenses as working from a brick and mortar establishment. Sponsorship can be done in various ways. Try crowdfunding, fundraising, small investors, local advertisement, family and friend contribution, etc. Sponsorship will come in handy when business is just starting out. It will enable you to get the supplies and other business necessities in advance without going too deep in debt starting off.

 4. Make networking a daily event.

Make it a priority to connect via social media, on the phone and in person. In the first year of your home business, it is important to develop new relationships and meet as many new people as you can. You can’t wait for a connection to happen by itself, you must be proactive. This may mean some aggressive movement of your own as well as getting out of the house to make it happen. It would not be out of order to start with a goal of connecting with at least 50 potential clients on a daily basis. Social media makes this easy. Also, sign up for meetups that are complementary to what you do.

5. Remain balanced in your life and business.

During the first year of business is when you set the tempo of your business. Don’t go into your new business working up to 18 hours a day, every single day. You need to give yourself a break or else you will quickly get burned out. Balance your business life with some family time or a hobby. Just remember, you determine how successful your home business is based on how much work, time and energy you put into it.

The Truth About Passive Income and How it Could Change Your Life

Image result for passive income quotes Passive income is a new word for some and a way of life for others. Passive  income is described as additional and discretionary income outside of normal earnings from a job or a business.  This type of income  has created more financially sound and stable  individuals than any other method of payment.

If this is so, why isn't everyone getting rich if earning passive income is so easy? Is it the fact that most people are struggling with their own passive income streams or maybe most don't know how to earn it?

And the big mystery is..... Why are there people who think passive income is a scam, while others are making hundreds of thousands of dollars every year earning it? Some of America's wealthiest individuals are proof that passive income is real and not a scam like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Martha Stewart, David H. McConnell, Mary K. Ash, etc. Many of these individuals are founders of their own organizations from big corporate entities to network marketing companies.

Bottom line.... There is never an excuse to be broke and without passive income unless you have a closed mind and rely solely on the belief that you will never need it.  The truth is you have a greater chance of needing it than not needing it. Passive income creates lifestyles, it provides income on a consistent basis and it leaves a legacy for generations to come.

Why are there people who think passive income is a scam while others are making hundreds of thousands of dollars every year? THE ANSWER: because they do not know the secrets behind the passive income opportunities and earners. Listed below are 3 secrets to earning consistent, passive income with the opportunity to create generational wealth.

The Difference Between Linear and Residual Income

Secret #1  Passive income is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme Many people think earning passive income is easy and never expect to put any hard work into it. The truth is, just like any business venture, a passive income opportunity will cost you time and effort before it brings you any decent income. For instance, to sell an eBook on Mexican food recipes, you need to spend time planning its content, compiling information, writing it, editing it, formatting it and marketing it. The whole process could easily take months before you earn your first buck of passive income. Unfortunately, many passive income seekers enter the business with the wrong mindset and give up when things do not meet their expectations.

Secret #2 In order to earn passive income, you must be persistent To be a successful passive income earner, one not only needs to be innovative but also be persistent. Receiving monthly rent on your rental property might be easy, but you still have the responsibilities as the landlord and you will be the person the tenants call when something in the property goes wrong. The same thing applies when selling eBooks online where you need to update your websites with new information and features to keep the clients coming back.  The same goes to say, if you start a business, no matter what type of business, you must work every day to make a sale and inform in order to create the income you desire. Expect to do follow-up on the source of your passive income so that it keeps generating money for you in the long run.

Start a Business in 6 Easy Steps

Secret #3 In order to build passive income, it's best to work on it while you are employed Many people misunderstood that active income and passive income are mutually exclusive. They are not, at least at the beginning! It is not practical to quit your day time job just to build your passive income streams. If you do, you are only creating more tension to your financial situation because you would have to rush and squeeze money out of your passive income when in need. Instead, the most logical and methodical aspect of building a financially secure foundation is to focus on developing your passive income while still receiving your steady monthly pay from your employer. Look out for the long term. Upon building a nice nest egg, if you are dismissed from your job or if you decide to take a break, you have the option to do so with little financial concerns.

A Simple 6 Step Guide to Starting a Home-based Business

Are you sick and tired of building the life and lifestyle of someone else?

YOU CAN CONTROL AND OWN YOUR DESTINY

Many dream about owning their time, not punching a clock and creating a life of freedom by owning their own business. It's easier said than done because many won't make it past the wish list.  Yes.. the wish list! People wish but they never do.  Why???  Because society has brainwashed many into becoming wage slaves and many have become imprisoned in their own dreams that never become a reality.

Truth be told... You can own a business and work a job. However to have one without the other is giving one too much control over the other, especially in an uncertain economy. Many do it everyday and remain vigilant in building a legacy outside the J.O.B! In fact, I did it for years with no complaints. My job gave me the leadership skills, the extended training and the knowledge to begin to build the business of me.

What if the only things that stands between you and your dreams are the excuses that you have accepted as the truth? -Lewis Howes

STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!

So.... It's really not about the money, it's about the freedom that money gives you and the flexibility to do what you want to do. If you had more freedom to do the things you enjoy, money wouldn't ever be an issue. Below is a 6-step guide to assist you with the beginning of the journey.

Don't work 8 hours for a company then go home and not work on your own goals. You're not tired, you're uninspired!

  1. Assess what you know

You know what you are good at and what you are not so good at.  If you understand this, you are one step closer to starting a business than most. Being able to identify your strengths and your weaknesses is a skill that many do not possess. This can help you gauge if you are suitable for embark on a home business especially in your area of interest.  As a home business owner, you will need to run a lot of tasks on your own, from planning, business management to the field work. You must always be multi-tasking. Make sure you can carry out the tasks needed.

  1. Formulate business ideas

Start brainstorming! What are your interest and what are you passionate about?  What will you do for free IF you didn't need the money? We all can think of something that inspires us in life that we would love to do outside of the J.O.B. But the problem is, most need the money so thinking outside of a J.O.B. and what you really want to do almost becomes senseless.  Those inspirations that you daydream about can be made into a business idea.

  1. Test the need in the market

Make a shortlist of your ideas so that it contains only those ideas that can work for a home business. Be practical, yet think outside the box. Assess whether people will want to spend money on the kind of products or services that you intend to offer, how much and whether this will generate sufficient income proportional to your never ending or sometimes simple effort.  If no, get back to Step 2 for more ideas. You must always be in the planning and building process. Being persistent is important at this stage because many people give up after climbing the first obstacle.

  1. Understand the legal barriers to entry

There are many.. depending on what you want to do and where. Check if there are any rules or regulations controlling the starting up of a home business in your state or country and more importantly, your municipality.  This can be a hurdle and a turn off at the same time. If you don't follow the law, not only will you pay, you may be turned off from the process from the start. If their are barriers, figure out how you want to get around them and make your business happen. Don't allow these specifics hinder your dream, your progress and your success.

  1. Determine the amount of capital you need

Money, money, money... It's a real conversation and topic that stops many in their tracks when talking about starting a business. If someone tells you it's free to start a business, you better run. It's simply not true and so very close to a lie! First, you must calculate the amount of money you need to start up your home business. The cost should include the purchase of any equipment, the hiring of any professionals (e.g. lawyers), insurance, marketing materials, licenses and so forth. You might not be familiar with all these so take your time to do some price checking and bargain hunting to make certain you are getting the best match for your business and money.

  1. Execute and plan

This is the most important step! Once you have obtained a clear picture from Step 1 – 5, it is time to lay down your business plan. Find out your break-even point and how many products you need to sell in order to earn your investment.

None of this advice will work or even matter  if you don't incorporate the most important element called "ACTION." You can complain about the game or get in the game and start making a profit while building a legacy.  You can't leave your J.O.B to your heirs,  kids or your family, but you can leave a business and continue to create generational wealth as a part of your legacy.

Take ACTION today to start a new life and own it! As an MBA graduate and PhD soon to be graduate and over 20 years in business for myself, I often have people coming to me for advice about how to start a business, how to restart a business, how to market a business and how to grow a business. The Traits of a Successful Mindset

"I truly believe in positive synergy, that your positive mindset gives you a more hopeful outlook, and belief that you can do something great means you will do something great."  Russell Wilson

In order to achieve success in business, relationships and life, you will need to have the right mindset.

Success is something that everyone wants to achieve, but many don’t put in the work. The simple process of achieving success involves you starting, focusing, showing up, committing and making it happen.

Most people simply do not know how powerful their minds are and how it can be the determining factor behind them attaining the success they desire.

“Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making thesame one a second time.” – George Bernard Shaw

A lot of people have failed simply because their minds were never in the right place. A lack of success could be a lack of incorporating these 5 principles in your life.

Determination

A true fact is that successful people are simply more determined than those who are not. This is a trait that is seen in every person that is successful in their given field. Their desire to be better than they were yesterday and the perception that it is their responsibility to attain the success that they envision.

Relaxed Despite Adversity

If you are a business owner, you have most likely dealt with a lot of problems. The way that you deal with this adversity will shape who you are as a person and as a business person. It is evident through their resilience of struggle. Successful people don’t complain and if they do, they come at it with a plan.

If you are able to stay relaxed despite adversity, you will be able to become more successful in your endeavors.

Knowledge

Successful people are simply smarter. This is not just speaking about grades in school, but in life in general. Their knowledge with everyday things and common sense is very important and you will need to understand just how important it is to have a lot of knowledge and be willing to acquire it. Successful people know what they can and can’t do.  For those things they can’t do, successful people are smart enough to hire someone who can do it. It is how they think and how they are wired to be successful.

Invest

Successful people are not afraid to invest in themselves. Whether it is for training, practicing or something that will help with their success, successful people will simply invest in their success on a regular basis. They realize that they are their greatest wealth. Successful people acknowledge that investing in themselves is the only way they will achieve their desired goals and objectives. By investing in themselves and others, successful people find another way to be successful on a regular basis.

No fear of failure

Failure is an obstacle for many. But not for successful people. If you have no fear of failure, then you will be motivated to see success clearer. Once you are able to rid your mind from the fear of failure, you will be redirect your actions towards achieving success. Successful people live life with risk and are not afraid to make a mistake. They can also care less what others say about what they do. Fear is their friend because the more they are afraid to do it, the more they are ready to do it at the drop of a hat. It is their fuel and their energy to fear what’s next. The unknown has no existence in their plan.

“Action is the foundational key to all success.” – Pablo Picasso

I can go on and on. The truth about successful people is that they are the CEO’s, the owners, the movers and the shakers of the economy, the school system and the community. They are the ones you want in your life and in your corner. Successful people make the impossible seem so possible. They are prepared to make a difference where there has always been a constant. Change is a part of their vocabulary. Successful people are action takers and problem solvers.

These are just some of the traits that successful people have and you too can have them as well.  Your decision to step out of the box and do what you desire is a decision between you and success. Just as long as you are patient and you try to incorporate these traits into your life on a daily basis, you, YES YOU, will be able to succeed in any aspect of your life.
