5 Excuses You Tell Yourself That May Be Keeping You From Your Destiny

excuses.jpg

Excuses are easy to make and they hold less responsibility. Think about how many you have made over your lifetime. I personally am guilty too. I never really understood how excuses affected my life until one particular day. Instead of making an excuse, I said why not. This was one of the best days I could remember in 2017. If I had made an excuse, I could have lost out on an amazing deal that literally has changed my life moving forward. Making decisions can be tough, especially when you are uncertain of the result. I've learned to be less reserved and more adventurous while making less excuses.

Listed below are some of the excuses that I've heard over the years. More importantly in 2017. I've even made a couple myself.  I bring these to your attention to identify with where you are now and where you hope to be. Mindset is everything and everything is mindset. if you are not careful, your mind will play tricks on you to believe otherwise. You will consistently stay in a state of hoping, wishing and not doing. Get focused now by starting 2018 off right with  The 5 Day Mindset Diet.

When you are good at making an excuse, it’s hard to excel at anything.

1. I don't have any money. The truth is money is available, but you may not be budgeting or spending appropriately. People spend money on things they want, but not necessarily on things they need. When I personally look at some of the things I've spent money on, I get sick to my stomach. Adding it all up, I've could have paid off some debt, taken a trip or invested in some coaching to assist me with making wiser decisions. If saving money is a problem for you, RIZE is a great place to start your savings journey. Out of sight, equals out of mind which equals more money. Interested in investing, check out ACORN

2. If it's meant for me, it will happen. Well that's not always the case. If you don't respond, how do you know it's not for you. A lack of action leads to nothing happening. "Faith without action is dead." If you are sitting around waiting for that better relationship, that new job, that trip, to start that business or to do whatever. If you are not doing what's necessary for it to happen, it probably never will.

no more excuses.png

3. I ain't never heard of that so it must not be real. Well.. there are a lot of things in the world you will not hear of. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Google makes it easy for us to begin our own research to learn more about what you ain't never heard of. The key is to be open minded and receptive to learning and hearing about new things. A closed mind will never understand that opportunity is free, but a hustle comes with a cost. You either will pay on the front end or the back end. But nevertheless, you will pay.

There are over 7 billion people in the world, do you know all of them...

4. Who else is doing it? Why does it matter who else is doing it? Does it solidify you doing it? Too many people seek to fit in instead of standing out. Everything is not for everybody. Those who understand opportunity realize that only the ones who have the ability to take risk and respect a challenge are typically the one's who receive the reward.

Excuses are tools with which persons with no purpose in view build for themselves great monuments of nothing.
— Steven Grayhm

5. I'm not good at sales. Shhhhhhh! You don't have to be good to make money! I bet you didn't know that. Not only is it one of the highest paid professions, many sales position don't require formal education. All you need is a hunger, a desire to help people and a winning attitude. 90% of excellent sales people have never read a book, but they know how to sell just about anything.  I've been in some form of sales my whole life too and I tell you what, I've never returned a commission check because it was too small.

The reality is you probably have been selling stuff your whole life and just don't realize it. When you refer someone to a place, offer a suggestion or show someone how to do something, you are selling based on a suggestive or indirect sale and more than likely you are not being compensated for it.  What a bummer!! Every coin chimes and every dollar folds. Your loss and someone else's gain. People get paid daily to refer people to a link, a site or a business. Look at how much money you've been missing referring people and sharing information. Interested in some referral income? Learn more here

In today's society, you must diversify your skills in order to remain competitive....

Overall, I truly believe that you have not because you ask not. Changing your life or a situation requires you to not be afraid of the other side. Being open to change is not easy. 4 Assets that Require a Consistent Investment

life balance.jpg

“If you count all your assets you always show a profit.”

Wilson Mizner

Wise investments pay hefty dividends. Knowing where to place your resources enable you to have more control over your market and have less fear in its volatility. In life, we have more control over things than not. Depending on priorities, we decide which if any, gets attention. Therefore, the decision to be proactive and invest versus reactive and guessing, can enable you to live a more profitable life.

1. Relationships – great connections with people allow you to excel in life. They hold you up when you are down and lift you up as you continue to rise. It nurtures your confidence to have good ones. Good relationships give long life and bad ones can cause disease. Examine who is good for you and who is not. Put each in its perspective and place. Don’t give in to dropping stock, invest in long-term growth. People who are by your side and tell you when you are right and wrong have proven to be great finds.

2. Health – Your health is your wealth because without it, you are broke. Poor health robs you of a rich lifestyle. It imprisons you to medication and ultimately affects your entire portfolio and limits your growth. Great investments in eating healthier foods, cutting back on things you know you shouldn’t have and letting go of things that exploit your vessel will optimize your performance across the board. What you eat, you become. Incorporate balance in your diet, exercise, think great thoughts and love the body you are in. Looking to eat your way to healthy? The Power Within a Raw Diet is a great tool to start.

3. Spirituality – This gives you balance, power and authority. It builds confidence in you and gratefulness in your gifts. It provides fulfillment to hopes and wishes. When you can call on or go to something that is bigger than you, it gives you peace and security to know that things will not only get better, but that you will be alright. Spirituality gives confirmation that greater is HE that is in you than he that is in this world. You not only handle conflict and misfortunes better, you face the battle with understanding that it’s not yours. The 5 Day Mindset Challenge gives you the mindset to put all things that come at us in perspective.

4. Income – It’s a survival mechanism, a tool for stability and advancement as well as a means to be a blessing to others. Without it, hardship exist. The more you know about it and how to grow it, the more you will acquire. Income has no limits when strategically planned out. In most instances, you are in control of how many zero’s you add to your life. Save more money here towards your future.

How to Live a Meaningful Life

woman in life.jpg
Being in Love With Life is the Key to Eternal Youth
— Doug Hutchison

Working in the field of hospice, I often come in contact with people who have a wish list they never completed. They have goals they never achieved. And they have people that never knew how they felt. Many people go throughout their whole life not knowing what it is they want to do or become.

Finding your life’s goal and your true passion in life sooner versus later will help you find great satisfaction in everything you do, it will also help you to live every day to its fullest as will even help to inform who you truly are. Finding this meaning can transform your life in all the best ways. If you are uncertain of your calling in life or if you need to get clear, perhaps I NEED CLARITY  will give you perspective.

But it’s not so easy to do that for most of us. Many of us don’t have a single objective or dream and this can leave us feeling a little listless and directionless.

But here’s the thing: meaning doesn’t have to come only from one goal or one of your life’s mission. Meaning can come from small things too depending on how you approach them. Remember..  the small things can be life changing as well.

Here are some tips to make everything more meaningful in your life.

Find the Meaning in Things That are Important to You

Meaning is really something we assign to things and nothing more or less than that. Activities in your life have meaning only if you believe they do. Things you own have meaning. The people in your life have meaning.

Unfortunately, many of us go through through life never acknowledging how important they are to us. In fact, most believe a vast amount to be boring or unimportant. One trick is to always try to ‘notice the best of everything’. Or at the very least, just focus on what it is that others might find exciting or important about the thing you’re doing.

Share with Others and Don't Forget to Serve too

If you do something and no one knows about it, then it has no lasting impact. You can’t discuss it and it will quickly fade away from your memory.

But when you share a moment or an achievement with someone, it gives it much more meaningful impact. Not only is this a powerful way to build a bond and become closer to someone, but it is also a great way to make sure that your moments impact more than just yourself and have a wider reach.

If you can’t share the moment then the next best thing is to immortalize it by writing about it in a journal. Writing our thoughts and feelings out on paper can resurface the impact that it has on our lives and certainly the lives of others.

It is in service that we believe in mankind. Your service to others can bring you in touch with your inner soul and your spiritual truth. Service finds gratitude that spills out into what it is we do. Your helping another gives you a reason to be thankful. It makes you think that things could be worse. You understand that being grateful is a responsibility not an obligation.

Take Your Time and Don't Complain

Things can have more meaning when we spend more time reflecting on them, taking them in and enjoying them.

You can make everything more meaningful and have a better experience in this way; whether that means just taking the time to eat your food slowly and savor every morsel or whether it means looking around, listening to the sounds and looking at the sights. Take the time to savor every morsel of life and it will all taste that much richer. Appreciate every second and every moment, because they are priceless. Time is something you can't get back. Moments turn into seconds and seconds turn into hours. Leverage the now.

Complaining never got anyone anywhere. It does no good. In fact, it sucks more energy and enthusiasm out of you than before. Your complaining can stop you from excelling to another level. If you can't or you are not willing to find a solution to the problem you are complaining about, why do it.

Your life is a depiction of your thoughts. How you think and what you think about can really add to or take away from a meaningful life. If you find conquering your mind to be difficult, THE 5 DAY MINDSET CHALLENGE will elevate your thought and give you a more defined perspective.

Until next time blessings and peace,

Nichelle

Slowly Fill Your Glass Until it's Full

conquer fear everyday.jpg
If you are not willing to risk the usual, then you will just have to settle for the ordinary.
— Jim Rohn

Let me ask you a question. Do you know a person who always seems happy and positive about themselves and life in general? They never seem to have a problem and seem to be able to deal with things in life with composure and grace.

Overall... I find these people to be far and few in between. If a person is this way, social perspectives will tell us that they are either faking it until they make it or something else is going on in that picture. The reality is that there are people who exist that live life intentionally with now excuses or apologies. And it’s nothing wrong with it. We all need to surround ourselves with people who have a positive mindset and who are living life on purpose versus just by happenstance.  Do you wish you were more positive and could relate to this behavior? Are you able to deal with your life circumstances with a positive attitude?

These people have a way of seeing life as being a “half full glass” where even if things are going very wrong, they find something positive in it to focus on. Viewing life this way is natural for some people, but for most people who use this approach to life, it is a learned response. It develops from making an intention to look at the positive and not dwell on the negative. This behavior is practiced. It’s not necessarily developed overnight, but it is a daily process that is always a work in progress.

Now all of this may sound easy on paper, but, it’s not. How do people learn to focus on a half-full glass and not the half-empty one and remain positive? It’s not easy to be thankful when faced with difficult circumstances. That’s a fact! However, practicing gratitude daily helps us deal with a lot of thing and being able to deal with the most difficult experiences we may face in our lives. It is the key to the optimism that we see in the positive person we admire so much.

When we complain all the time, we can quickly lose our perspective. Your thoughts are prayers and they can turn into what happens in your life. Yes, we are all different and move at a different pace. What one does in less time may take a longer time for others. But before you complain, consider the work quality between the two. Maybe our concern is justified, but if the work produced is superior in quality, then maybe the extra time was justified? Quality versus quantity will always supersede

A “half glass full” thinking seeks to clarify a situation before complaining about it. It asks whether a complaint will make the situation better or worse and if it will help to resolve the issue. In most cases, the answer to both these questions is no! On those occasions where it is justified, then we should do something about it. A clear perspective on the situation can help us to resolve an otherwise irresolvable problem. Maintaining an attitude of gratitude helps us maintain a positive perspective on most things that happen in our life. It helps to keep the glass half-full even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Strive to keep your glass full always. Understand that you have the authority to make your life a reflection of your ideas and thoughts. Know that you can purposely live in your light, shine bright and be whoever you want to be without apologizing for your greatness. Say it is so... If you need to clarify your thoughts for 2018, if you are interested in living a bigger life in your faith, lifestyle, health and wealth, I’m offering you a FREE transformation class here. Let’s plan and prepare to dominate our greatness and move through roadblocks with determination and inspiration. I will see you on the other side of fear. Don't forget to share this blog post with someone who needs that extra push.

Blessings and much peace,

Nichelle

5 Ways to Develop a Personal Brand

5 Ways to Develop a Personal Brand

If you are a millennial, branding self is your way of life. You know what it takes to separate yourself from your parents and others who are doing what you do. If you've been around the block a couple of times, branding to you may be fitting into the brand of your employer to model yourself after the company.

A lot has changed since I graduated from undergrad. Grad school was pre-online. Since then I've noticed the more things change, the more they seem to stay the same. In this new way of doing business and career search, if you are not changing, you will find nothing changing for you.

As a small business consultant and certified life coach, I work with corporate brands as well as personal brands. No... I'm not a branding coach, BUT, branding is more than just an idea, a logo and color. It's an impression of you. Not that those characteristics aren't important, but there is more to a brand that often goes unnoticed. Branding is building a message around a package that represents what is delivered. It separates you from others and makes you one of a kind. Here are 5 ways to help you identify with you and build a brand around what you consider marketable.

Your personal brand should answer…

1.      Who are you? No one can answer this better than you. You should know what you represent and how you want to have it represented. Understanding what you bring to the table is key to your success. Knowing how you bring it is even more important. Have a clear message that speaks volumes even if you aren’t in the room.

2.      What’s your story? This is what makes each of us unique. Yes, you have a story and probably a darn good one too. No matter how big or small, it has significance. None of our stories are the same and all have facts that make it worth listening to and sharing.

3.      Why is your story relevant? Relevance is key in personal branding. It identifies why people should want to know more about what and how you do it.  The impact of your story should be your "ah ha" moment. What makes it personal and how does it describe what's taking place in your life right now?

4.      Who is it for? In business, this would be your target market. You can’t speak to everyone and expect an answer. Why? Because everyone won’t need to hear what you have to say. Be specific in how you identify who it is for. This can be challenging if you don’t drill down and have clarity on what that target looks like.

5.      How can your story help others? Your story is your testimony. What did you do to overcome where you are or were?  If it changed your life, it may possibly change someone else’s too. Don’t be afraid to share your victories, your struggles, your trials and your tribulations. It identifies you and what you are becoming.

Upon answering these questions with clarity and a message to promote, you are well on your way to marketing your value and pricing your worth. Don’t ever underestimate your worth. If no one values it, make certain you do. Never compromise with it either. In the end, the more you do to excel in your life with knowledge, experience and education, the more you will find yourself free to be who you want to be in every way.

Until next time, go and start building your brand,
